20-year-old wing wizard to join Lallana, Lambert and Can at Anfield.
Liverpool will continue their hefty summer of spending by offering £25m for Benfica winger Lazar Markovic, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds have already spent £4m on Southampton striker Rickie Lambert and £10m on Bayer Leverkusen youngster Emre Can.
Adam Lallana had a medical at the club’s Melwood training complex on Friday and the 26-year-old midfielder is expected to complete his move from Southampton next week for a fee of £23m plus add-ons.
Once Lallana is signed sealed and delivered, Liverpool will apparently focus their attention on Markovic, who, despite being just 20 years old, played a key role in Benfica’s title-winning campaign last season.
The Serbian winger scored five goals in 26 Primeira Liga games and also helped the Portuguese giants reach the final of the Europa League, where they lost to Sevilla on penalties.
Markovic has been capped 12 times at senior international level, scoring two goals for Serbia.
He joined Benfica last summer from Partizan Belgrade. He has four years left to run on his current contract.
