The playmaker arrived with great promise in the summer of 2013, but has failed to settle in England and a return to his native Spain is probably on the cards.
Alberto spent last season on loan at Malaga, where he contributed two goals and two assists in 20 appearances, and they may look to sign the 22-year-old on a permanent basis.
