The Premier League trio are all interested in Sparktak’s Romulo.
Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League as Liverpool join Arsenal and Chelsea in the pursuit of the Brazilian, according to the Daily Express.
A knee injury to Lucas Leiva is going to keep the 27-year-old out of action for two months and manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to bring in support in the January transfer window as a result.
The Reds were linked with Romulo over the summer, but cooled their interest before the London duo and FC Barcelona sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old.
However, the recent developments concerning Lucas has put the Merseyside outfit right back in the frame and there is speculation that the club have submitted a £7m bid.
Sparktak are thought to want closer to £10m though, having paid £6.5m for the Brazil international themselves in 2012.
During that time Romulo has only played seven times for the Russian team due to a serious knee injury that kept the South American out of action for 18 months.
This doesn’t seem to concern Rodgers though, who is reeling after the Northern Irishman was beaten to yet another transfer this week by the Blues.
It was thought that FC Basel attacking midfielder Mohamed Salah was on the verge of completing a move to Anfield, before the west London club sneaked in at the 11th hour and finalised an £11m deal.
It’s the second time it’s happened in the last six months as Chelsea also secured Willian in the summer in a £33m switch ahead of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
