The Reds may make a move for one of the biggest stars of Juventus once the Champions League Final is over, as Carlos Tevez is poised to leave Turin in the transfer period.
According to the Metro, Liverpool has been given permission to complete the transfer for Tevez after Juventus faces Barcelona in the Champions League Final later today. Tevez has been with Juventus for two seasons, appearing in 66 matches and recording a whopping 39 goals in that span.
The highly-decorated Argentinian star became a household name with Manchester United and then with Manchester City, recording 77 goals in six years and winning the Premier League Golden Boot award with Man City in 2010-11 after scoring 23 goals with the club.
With a weekly salary estimated at £150,000 per week (according to The Independent), Tevez will certainly not come cheap. But with the Reds needing a big-time scoring threat after being outscored 10-3 in the final three games of the 2014-15 Premier League season, no price may prove too high for a player of Tevez’s caliber.
