Joe Allen
Joe Allen hasn’t yet lived up to the £15m transfer fee required to bring him from Swansea City to Liverpool, nor the moniker of ‘Welsh Xavi’ accidentally bestowed upon him by Brendan Rodgers in an interview upon signing in 2012.
What he has done is show that he is a very useful player who can fill in a number of roles in the Reds side – even if he is not yet ready to start for the team on a regular basis.
Philippe Coutinho
At his best, Philippe Coutinho can be an unstoppable force thanks to a wonderful combination of skill, vision and passing, but he is not yet as consistent as he might be, and can drift in and out of games.
The Brazil international did manage five goals and seven assists though, and will certainly start his fair share of games going forward.
