Liverpool are expected to get rid of striker Rickie Lambert after an underwhelming season by the 33-year-old.
According to The Metro, West Brom have emerged as the 33-year-old striker’s primary suitors.
West Brom finished in 13th place in the 2014-15 Premier League standings.
Lambert only scored four goals while making 25 Premier League appearances for the Reds in the 2014-15 season.
This undoubtedly fell way below Liverpool’s expectations for Lambert, as he scored 106 goals in five seasons with Southampton.
The Reds had signed Lambert for £4m last summer, and he looked like he could have been a bargain, but he now finds himself on the transfer list.
Liverpool are also looking to move on fellow strikers Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli, as they too experienced disappointing campaigns in Anfield.
Offloading all of these players are another sign that Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal for Aston Villa star striker Christian Benteke.
They have already met the Belgian international’s £32.5m release clause, so a deal may be imminent.
