The Daily Express reports that the big Belgian has returned to peak fitness and feels opposition defences should be running scared after he hit a rich vein of form.
He said: “I feel really good. But I still feel I can do more. Do I think people fear me again? Yes. The difference is now I am fit.”
Benteke is expected to lead the line for Tim Sherwood’s team in Sunday afternoon’s eagerly-anticipated semi-final.
The 24-year-old has been a revelation since Sherwood’s arrival at the club in February, and has scored nine goals in his last eight games for the relegation-threatened side.
His upturn in fortunes in front of goal has given Villa a realistic chance of beating the dreaded drop at the end of the campaign, and their hopes rest firmly on his shoulders again this weekend as they look to reach the FA Cup final.
