Liverpool are ready to try and prise young Spanish international striker Paco Alcacer away from La Liga outfit Valencia, report the Metro, with the Reds set to bid £14.1 million to meet the powerful forward’s release clause.

Alcacer, who has risen through the youth ranks at Valencia and is known to be a supporter of the club, is one of the most exciting young prospects in La Liga, although he is having to battle with Manchester City loanee Alvaro Negredo for his role in the club’s first team under Nuno.
With Liverpool desperately needing a striker and likely to make any new signing the Anfield main man, he could be persuaded to move to the Premier League in a big to take his career to the next level.
