How Rodgers will hope a summer of business will unfold.
After finishing second in the Premier League in 2013/14 and therefore returning to the Champions League next season, Liverpool are expected to be busy this summer.
To compete in four competitions manager Brendan Rodgers is going to need to strengthen his squad and that has already seen the arrival of Rickie Lambert and Emre Can from Southampton and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
Yet the Northern Irishman’s summer of business isn’t expected to end there and here are five players in and five out for the Reds if everything goes to plan.
Players out:
Daniel Agger
To many fans of the Merseyside club Agger is actually the best centre-back on offer at Anfield, but Rodgers has a vision for the club and it doesn’t include the Denmark captain.
Defence was a problem for the side last term, but the sale of the 29-year-old would help free up funds for a new acquisition to solve the issue.
