The young fullback should retain his place following impressive Merseyside derby performance…
Team news:
Brendan Rodgers is expected to stick with John Flanagan at left-back following his impressive performance last weekend away to Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel are likely to continue at centre-half ahead of Daniel Agger, while Glen Johnson will play at right-back.
The normal midfield trio of Lucas, Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson should start, but Daniel Sturridge’s injury means Rodgers may well give Victor Moses his first start in a month.
He ought to start from the right, with Coutinho given a free role from the left, and Luis Suarez spearheading the side.
Suarez has proven himself adept at leading the line on his own, and ought to be able to cope in the absence of his usual strike partner Sturridge, but the Englishman’s injury means Liverpool look set to stick with their 4-2-3-1 formation instead of the 3-5-2 trialled by Rodgers for much of the campaign.
