The Los Angeles Clippers have turned the Lakers’ locker room at the Staples Center into an ‘Owner’s Lounge’ for the remainder of the playoffs.

The Lakers saw their season end early after their worst regular-season campaign in franchise history, and so they missed out on the playoffs for the second straight year.
In contrast, the Clippers are looking for an extended run in the post-season this time round and are looking to make the most of the facilities at their disposal at the Staples Center which they share with their city rivals.
While this is just part and parcel of the procedure of sharing an arena as the LA Kings are having their locker room used by the San Antonio Spurs for their road games, the Lakers fans in particular will undoubtedly see this as another insult from their neighbours.
The Clippers opted to cover up the Lakers championship banners for their home games after the arrival of Doc Rivers, as he insisted that the franchise needs to make their own history and not live in the Lakers’ shadow any longer.
That decision in itself upset some of the Lakers fanbase as they maintain that Los Angeles is still Lakers town, but they will need their organisation and team to start showing something in the coming years in order to avoid it slipping out of their grasp to the Clippers.
From a fans point of view, the Lakers will remain the top team in the city, and their team is expected to be back in the playoffs starting next year as the franchise looks to strengthen significantly in free agency and the NBA Draft.
