Louis van Gaal has suggested that Bastian Schweinsteiger could make his full Manchester United debut in their Premier League match with Newcastle United on Saturday.
The German World Cup winner has made three substitute appearances for the Red Devils since arriving from Bayern Munich for £15m earlier this summer as he works towards match sharpness.

But Van Gaal hinted at his Friday press conference that the experienced midfielder could be given his first start when the Magpies visit Old Trafford tomorrow lunchtime.
Two players that will not feature though are defenders Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones. The Argentine is still not fully fit and Jones remains sidelined with a blood clot in his calf.
The manager adds Rojo needs more match fitness and says it’s only a matter of time before Schweinsteiger starts – “Maybe tomorrow.” #mufc

Michael Carrick is the player most likely to make way for Schweinsteiger in United’s midfield. The two veterans may be rotated throughout the season while Morgan Schneiderlin holds down a regular place.
