Louis van Gaal told the club’s official site after the game that he felt Falcao needed a goal, and he was full of praise for his side’s attackers in general, though he feels Falcao’s goal may have bene more important then Robin van Persie’s.
“I’m more happy that Falcao scored because I think Robin has scored enough goals already,” van Gaal said.
“Falcao needs that goal more than Robin. But, after all, it’s fantastic they scored – beautiful goals I think with very quick transition for the goal by Falcao, with Robin also having a big part in it, so I’m very happy.”
Falcao’s goal against Leicester was only his fourth since joining United from AS Monaco on a season-long loan deal.
