Yarmolenko has often been linked with a switch to the Premier League, Liverpool and Manchester City both credited with interest. He could now be Old Trafford bound however, if Louis van Gaal has any desire to bring him in.
Surkis would rather keep the 25-year-old at the club, but he admitted that if an offer from Manchester United or Real Madrid arrived then he would not stand in the player’s way.
“I can’t guarantee that during the winter Andriy Yarmolenko will not leave the club, because I respect both fans and Andriy. He can go for transfer in the winter, conditional on it being Real Madrid or Manchester United,” he said.
Yarmolenko still has 18 months left on his current deal, but Kiev may want to cash in on him this January to avoid letting him get into the last year of his contract.
