The 28-year-old was left out of United’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend, prompting debate as to whether his time at Old Trafford will be short-lived, but Van Gaal is set to give him a second chance to impress against struggling QPR this time around.
An ankle unjust to Van Persie has ruled him out of the trip to Loftus Road, and Falcao can take advantage to give himself a shot of an extended stay.
