The Dutchman to make a shock move for Kuyt.
Dutch national team boss and newly appointed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is set to ruffle a few feathers this transfer window as he plots a move for 33-year old Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt, reports the Daily Mail.
The former Liverpool striker currently plays for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but Van Gaal is keen on handing him the chance to return to England with a move to Old Trafford.
The 62-year old manager has a lot of faith in the veteran frontman, and reckons that uniting Kuyt with Robin van Persie at club level could give rise to a lethal partnership for the Red Devils.
Van Gaal has already established his decisive nature with respect to transfer dealings by landing a couple of the English giants’ top targets in Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw recently, and he seems to be hungry for more.
Should van Gaal succeed in signing Kuyt, it would be intriguing to see the response towards the veteran forward from the Liverpool faithful.
