3) Bastian Schweinsteiger – Bayern Munich
The legendary German midfielder is a key target for United, although they’ll have some job persuading first the club to sell, and then the player to sign for a club not competing in Europe. Schweinsteiger would provide the Red Devils experience and technical ability in the middle of the park, and the 29-year-old has previously played under LVG during the coach’s stint at Bayern.
