2) Mats Hummels – Borussia Dortmund
If United need to strengthen any area, it’s central defence. Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have left the club, leaving a huge void which needs desperately to be filled. Hummels is undeniably world-class, equally as comfortable on the ball as he is formidable in the air. United would have to break the bank to secure him though.
