How would a move to Andalucia affect Tottenham’s Bale bartering with Madrid?
Reports emerging from Spain claim that Malaga CF are closing to striking a deal with Real Madrid for young attacking prospect Jese Rodriguez.
Football Espana report that Spanish radio station Cadena COPE claim Malaga are looking to seal a loan deal for Jese in order for the 20-year-old to obtain some valuable top-flight experience.
Whilst undeniably a good deal for Malaga, who currently only have the ageing Roque Santa Cruz an established La Liga goaslcorer, any move for Jese could severely dent Madrid’s hopes of signing Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
Fanatix reported earlier on Friday that Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy has demanded €120m euros, plus one of either Madrid prospects Jese or Alvaro Morata.
With Madrid president Florentino Perez recently conceding that £100m is too much for any player, it would seem that any potential deal would have to include a makeweight purely to match Levy’s astronomical valuation of the Welshman.
Jese is widely regarded to be one of the brightest young strikers in all of Spain. Despite only appearing in one senior match for Real, he has been a revelation for Real Madrid Castilla scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists in 38 league matches last season.
It would seem that Spurs now find themselves in an interesting win-win situation with Jese – either gain one of the hottest attacking talents in Europe, or keep Gareth Bale.
