Despite a recent asset stripping due to financial worries, Malaga are in for two of Chelsea’s front men as the Blues go all-in for Rooney.
Malaga manager Bernd Schuster is preparing to move in on two of Chelsea’s top strikers.
According to reports in both the Star and Marca young Belgian Romelu Lukaku is top priority for Malaga, with Demba Ba second choice.
Mourinho is unwilling to sell Lukaku outright, but does not want him to lose out on valuable playing time at this stage in his career sitting on the bench. A loan deal would be most likely for the 20-year-old.
Should a deal for Lukaku fail to materialise, Demba Ba would be the next target. Chelsea are unwilling to sell the striker for any less than the £8m they paid to activate his release clause at Newcastle less than eight months ago. A deal would therefore hinge on Schuster matching that number.
At least one of the players would have to make way should Chelsea succeed in their well-documented pursuit of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney. The striker is thought to be set to cost Chelsea £40m, and would certainly jump above both Ba and Lukaku in the Blues’ pecking order.
