Manchester City are drawing even closer to completing a deal for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, reports suggest.
According to Sky Sports, Man City’s spending this summer will hit over £150m should De Bruyne join the cashed-up Premier League giants.
City completed the £32m signing of Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi on Thursday, with the Argetine international joining Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph, Patrick Roberts and Enes Unal as new summer additions at the Etihad.
De Bruyne’s signing may be enough to make Man City the 2015-16 title favorites, with the 24-year-old enjoying a stellar season with Wolsfburg last term.
The Belgian international shined in his most recent season with Wolfsburg, scoring 16 goals while adding 27 assists in 51 appearances.
It remains to be seen whether Man City can seal the deal despite Wolfsburg insisting that De Bruyne will not be sold.
