The Premier League champions are keen to sign a new player in that position, and have switched their focus to Pogba after being quoted a £50m asking price for Everton starlet Ross Barkley.
Widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world, Pogba would no doubt be a bargain at £25m, having previously been valued at around £60m.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United could also be on alert for the talented Frenchman, who would make a great replacement for Yaya Toure at the Etihad Stadium.
