Manchester City have offered tabled a £47m bid for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, according to Sky Sports.
However, De Bruyne’s agent brushed aside these rumours and insisted that he is not going anywhere.
“I have read a lot of nonsense in the media. Kevin remains a Wolfsburg player and is focused on his job at the club,” Patrick De Koster said.
The 24-year-old had a great campaign for Wolfsburg in the 2014-15 season, as he scored 16 goals while dishing out 27 assists in 51 appearances.
There is plenty of risk involved in signing De Bruyne though due to his lack of Premier League experience.
The Belgian international greatly disappointed in his time at Chelsea, as he made only nine appearances in the 2013-14 season.
The former Chelsea player has been a prime target for Man City for a long time, even though they already made a splash signing in Raheem Sterling.
Man City convinced Liverpool to sell their 20-year-old midfielder for £45m, and they also added to their midfield depth by signing Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph for £8m.
