Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is expected to receive a large contract offer from Manchester City.
According to the Daily Star, City are preparing to offer de Bruyne a six-year deal worth £53m, which would mark the longest deal that the club has ever put out.
The 2014-15 Premier League runner-ups have bided their time have already added three players this summer as they look to regain their title.
They have already signed former Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling for £49m, and they also brought in Fabian Delph for £8m to boost their midfield depth.
Man City are likely going hard after De Bruyne, who failed to make a splash in his first spell in England with Chelsea, to add pace and goals to their attack.
Wolfsburg claim that their midfielder is not for sale, but they would be unlikely to resist a £50m bid.
