Bundesliga heavyweights Wolfsburg have reportedly told Kevin de Bruyne he can speak to Manchester City – but only if the Premier League club coughs up a £45m transfer fee.
De Bruyne has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, but Wolfsburg have so far stood firm on its stance to keep hold of the 24-year-old playmaker.
However, The Sun reports that the club would be tempted to sell the Belgian international should Manchester City offer a fee upwards of £45m.
Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in the former Chelsea man, and De Bruyne hinted that he is prepared to make a move should an offer be put forward.
“Of course you can’t ignore it. Everyone knows the teams. They all play for the title. That is not nothing,” De Bruyne was quoted as saying by The Sun on Monday.
“But at this moment I have not heard that there is a bid for me.
“If an offer does come, I will hear about it and how much it is — but I have not yet heard anything.”
De Bruyne struggled to make an impact on the Premier League during his stint with Chelsea, but his performances with Wolfsburg suggest he is ready to take the Premier League by storm should be return.
