So Ramos goes from deal done to no sale in a matter of days. What on earth is happening?
A new wrinkle in the Man United/Sergio Ramos deal has appeared with reports that Real Madrid are unwilling to sell the superstar defender.
According to Squawka, although there have been multiple reports that a deal between the Red Devils and the La Liga giants was struck or on the verge of being made, the club has declared that Ramos is simply not for sale. The Real Madrid star defender has made his desire to head to Man United clear (possibly with the hopes of taking down his former manager Jose Mourinho), but new Real manager Rafa Benitez appears keen to keep hi,
The 10-year Real Madrid veteran Ramos was named La Liga Best Defender in three straight years (2012-2014) and is a four-time member of the UEFA Team of the Year. Ramos has 40 goals in 314 League appearances and 10 international goals – including two game-winners against France and Sweden.
