United’s official club website publishes a story confirming the capture of the Polish star, before removing it quickly.
Manchester United reportedly released a statement confirming the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski…only for it to be removed from the club’s official website moments later.
Here at fanatix towers, we didn’t see the misplaced article but Irish site Joe.ie claimed to have done, and say this screenshot proves it!
The Premier League champions are rumoured to be interested in the Poland international, and if this image proves legit, it is the biggest hint yet that the two sides could be close to agreeing a deal for the Bundesliga player of the season.
Complete with quotes from David Moyes, in which he praises the attacking attributes of the 24-year old, this image looks fairly legit, although we’re not sure if United ever refer to themselves as the ‘Reds’…
Lewandowski scored 24 league goals for the Bundesliga runners up, and with the future of Wayne Rooney still undecided, the Pole’s arrival at Old Trafford could be seen as a way of adding quality and depth to the attack, before making a decision on the England international’s fate.
