Manchester United are on the verge of reaching yet another major deal, as they have reportedly agreed to terms with Benfica for midfielder Nicolas Gaitan.
According to The Metro, Gaitan is on track to move to Old Trafford in a mega £28m deal.
The 27-year-old winger is also understood to have interest from Liverpool, but the Red Devils are in pole position to sign the Argentine.
Man United are keen to complete their mission to bolster its midfield depth, in which the club has already done by signing Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Red Devils are are also on track to sign Barcelona winger Pedro, who scored the winner in Barcelona’s 5-4 UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla on Tuesday.
The Argentine international has spent the past five seasons at Benfica, and he has helped lead the Portuguese club to two consecutive Primeira Liga titles.
Gaitan still offers plenty of scoring ability too, as he notched up four goals in 37 appearances last season after scoring eight during the 2013-14 season.
