Cristiano Ronaldo has grown disillusioned with life at Real Madrid…
Both Manchester United and Manchester City will attempt to convince Cristiano Ronaldo return to the Premier League next summer, with the World Player of the Year having ‘fallen out of love’ with the club.

The Daily Express has suggested that Ronaldo’s desire to leave the European Champions comes following the departures of Angel di Maria and Xabi Alonso to Manchester United and Bayern Munich respectively.
The 29-year-old, who moved to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2009 from United for a then world record £80m, would love to return to Old Trafford – but a move to rivals City could also be an option according to the source.
It’s something United insiders have been made aware of, but whereas the commercial arm of the club would welcome him back with open arms the final decision would come down to manager Louis van Gaal – who may be unwilling to meet the players rumoured £500k per week wage demands.
The Dutchman has already spent in excess of £150m on new recruits this summer, and with Ronaldo likely to cost at least £60m despite his advancing years, the Red Devils may decide that the money is better spent elsewhere.
Roma’s Kevin Strootman and Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels remain two of United’s major targets, as they look to strengthen both their defensive and holding midfield options.
