The agent of Manchester United and Arsenal-linked striker Edinson Cavani has insisted that his client will not be returning to Serie A should he leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The 28-year-old has scored 53 goals in 88 games since joining PSG in a £55m deal from Napoli in 2013, but has often had to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Ligue 1 champions.
United and Arsenal are understood to maintain a long-term interest in the Uruguayan, who has also been tipped for moves to Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan and Juventus over the past 12 months.

But a return to Serie A does not seem to be a plausible option as his agent has claimed that nobody in Italy could afford Cavani.
Although United and Arsenal’s chances of signing him seem no more likely as Claudio Anellucci has insisted that his client is happy at PSG.
“I can’t see any clubs in Italy who could pay the necessary figures for a player of the calibre of Cavani,” Anellucci told Calciomercato.
“Besides, Edinson was very clear about his future, he’s happy in Paris and intends to stay at PSG. There’s nothing more to add.”
Cavani is currently on Copa America duty with Uruguay, who face hosts Chile in the first quarter-final on Thursday.
