Manchester United and Arsenal have suffered a transfer blow, with Juventus reportedly making Borussia Dortmund ace Ilkay Gundogan its top transfer target.
Gundogan has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, however, Calciomercato [via Daily Express] claims the Serie A champions are keen to make a move for the German international.
Juventus are in the hunt to sign another midfielder following the departures of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo, while new addition Sami Khedira will not be available until late October after suffering a thigh injury.
Gundogan looked set for an exit from the Westfalenstadion after admitting he wanted to leave the club when his contract ran out in July 2016, however, the midfielder had a change of heart and signed an extension until 2017.
Due to the interest in the player coming from United and Arsenal, Juventus will have to dig deep into its coffers to have any chance of signing the 24-year-old.
