Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi says star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not leave the Ligue 1 giants this summer.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the Swedish international, but it seems the 33-year-old is unlikely to grace the Premier League this season.
“Ibrahimovic has a contract for one more year and will stay with us,” Al-Khelaifi is quoted as saying by Daily Express.
Ibrahimovic joined PSG from Serie A giants AC Milan in 2012 and has played an instrumental role in the Parisian club’s last three league titles.
His contract is due to expire at the end of next season and is it expected he will move onto to new challenge.
Ibrahimovic this week said his next move will be a “big suprise” and did not rule out a move to the star-studded Major Soccer League.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United are expected to finalise moves for a striker before the end of the transfer window, but it seems a move for Ibrahimovic is off the cards.
