Serie A giants Juventus have sent out a clear message it will not allow Spanish striker Fernando Llorente to leave in a cut-price deal.
Llorente has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with either Manchester United or Arsenal, and it seems the 30-year-old is edging closer to transfer to the English top flight after Juventus rejected a bid from Sevilla.
According to Daily Express [via Mundo Deportivo], Juventus knocked back the £8.5m offer from the La Liga heavyweights and are holding out for a £10.5m offer.
Llorente is keen for a move away from Juventus after dropping down the pecking order in Turin.
The 30-year-old played second fiddle behind Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez last season, and the additions of Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza means match time will be limited for the Spanish international.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a striker and the Premier League giants could face a bidding war to snare the former Athletic Bilbao man’s signature.
