Manchester United have £73.4m in the transfer kitty to sign a new striker, according to reports.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is understood to be keen to bolster his front third, and Metro reports reliable Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims the United boss has been handed the mega amount of cash to complete a deal before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
De Telegraaf have so far been spot on with in regards to Manchester United’s transfer business this summer, and fans will be hoping the newspaper is bang on with its mail yet again.
With Wayne Rooney seemingly coming back to form with a hat-trick against Club Brugge on Thursday, it will be interesting to see who Van Gaal decides to sign – if anyone at all.
The Dutchman this week hinted at using Marouane Fellaini as a number nine, while Javier Hernandez and James Wilson are also capable of playing up front.
United have been linked with moves for Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Neymar, however it is highly unlikely their respective clubs would allow such players to leave.
