Hell hath no fury like a Van Gaal scorned.
In the wake of the devastating blow to Man United’s transfer plans with Pedro snubbing the club and moving to Chelsea, Louis van Gaal has devised a short-list of strikers he intends to make a move on.
According to the Metro, Louis van Gaal has discussed an epic transfer short-list that includes Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovi, Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, and Van Gaal’s protege from Bayern Munich Thomas Muller.
While the combined value of the four stars would be well over £180 million, it is highly unlikely that the Red Devils will be able to afford to bring three or even two of them to Old Trafford.
Thomas Muller is the most obvious target as he was given his big break under Van Gaal back in his days as the Bayern Munich manager. Zlatan, at age 33, is reportedly at the bottom of the list due to his advanced age.
Higuain and Griezmann, meanwhile, are being hotly pursued by Chelsea with Arsenal believed to be in the mix for Higuain.
Man United had worked all summer to secure a transfer for Pedro out of Barcelona, but Chelsea swooped in at the last minute and secured a deal for the superstar winger.
