Goalkeeper David de Gea will be returning to Manchester United for at least one more season after a shock transfer deadline fail.
The 24-year-old was supposed to be sold to Real Madrid in a £29m deal involving Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Despite de Gea being eager to leave Old Trafford, the Daily Star reports that both parties are on good terms.
“The club feels it can win him round. There are no long term issues and he’ll have time to reflect before coming back to us,” a Man United source claimed.

De Gea has not played a single minute of football this season, with United manager Louis van Gaal considering the speculation surrounding his future too much of a distraction.
United will reportedly offer De Gea a new deal in October, though the Red Devils do not expect the 24-year-old to sign a new deal.
His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
