Man United have been given the all clear to sign winger Pedro, with Barcelona boss Luis Enrique admitting he cannot stop the Spanish international from leaving the club.
According to The Telegraph, United boss Louis van Gaal is keen on luring Pedro to Old Trafford this summer, however the Red Devils must still meet the player’s £22m release clause.
Pedro has dropped down the pecking order at the Camp Nou following the sublime form of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez and is believed to be in search for increased first-team action elsewhere.
Enrique admits he is powerless to stop the 27-year-old from making a Premier League move.
“Pedro? If he wants to go, a club will have to meet his release clause,” Enrique is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
“I have talked with Pedro to discuss his situation.
“I have told him how I think about it and he told me how he feels about it, but I obviously won’t reveal the exact content of the conversation we had.”
Pedro has also been linked with moves to Chelsea and Liverpool, but it now seems United are in pole position to snare the Spanish international’s signature.
