Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is closing in on an exit from Old Trafford, according to reports.
The Northern Irishman has not featured at all for the Red Devils this season under Louis van Gaal, and it is understood to Dutchman is happy to allow the centre-back to leave the club.
West Bromwich Albion are reported to be interested in the 27-year-old, and TalkSport claims the Baggies boss Tony Pulis will attempt to sign the player if the former Stoke City mentor can offload Joleon Lescott.
Despite impressing at The Hawthorns since joining from Manchester City on a free transfer last summer, Pulis is understood to be ready to offload the former England international.
TalkSport reports both Sunderland and Aston Villa are keen to sign Lescott, with the latter already having a £1m bid turned down by the Baggies.
West Brom are believed to be willing to sell Lescott, but only once the club completes a deal to sign Evans.
The Telegraph reports Evans to be valued at around £8m.
