Manchester United have reportedly confirmed that they are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer.
The Express claim that a senior figure at Old Trafford has said that the 21-year-old is “someone we are interested in”, although no bid has yet been made.
Earlier this week, United were linked with a potential £50m offer for Kane, who scored 21 Premier League goals this season.

However, The Express now claim that United will start the bidding at £40m.
Kane put pen to paper on a five-year contract at White Hart Lane earlier this year, so Spurs are unlikely to sell, unless a huge offer is made.
Is £40m huge enough? Probably not, unless Kane hands in a transfer request – something that would be a surprise if it happened this summer.
