Red Devils could stump Liverpool to goalkeeper’s signature.
Manchester United could be set to sign Victor Valdes from right under the nose of Liverpool as the player continues his recovery from a long term knee injury at their Carrington training complex, the Metro reports.

Valdes is currently without a club after leaving Barcelona at the end of last season, and had been thought to be close to agreeing a move to Liverpool this month.
But United boss Louis van Gaal has given the 32-year-old the chance to continue his rehabilitation from injury at the club’s Carrington complex, before joining first-team training in a bid to prove his fitness.
“Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club,’ said a statement on the club’s official website.
“Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.”
Valdes would certainly provide more competition to David de Gea than Andes Lendegaard would, and would thus push the young Spaniard to reach a higher peak.
