Newcastle United are reportedly paying close attention to Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard.
Magpies boss Steve McClaren had the 22-year-old on loan at Derby County last season, where he scored two goals in 15 games, and would like to arrange a reunion, according to ESPN.
Lingard, who signed a new contract at Old Trafford in February, has been used frequently by Louis van Gaal in pre-season and found the net in the 3-1 victory over Barcelona.

He might be given a chance in United’s first team at the start of the season, with Angel Di Maria’s imminent departure to Paris Saint-Germain creating a space on the wing.
But, should the Red Devils give any indication that Lingard would be for sale, or available for loan, McClaren would love to add the attacking midfielder to his St James’ Park squad.
Lingard, who has previously spent loan spells at Leicester City, Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion, made his only senior United appearance to date against Swansea City in August 2014.
