The 16-year-old goalkeeper has been linked to a number of Europe’s top clubs, but Metro reports the Red Devils are keen to offer Pena an incredible 500% wage increase to join the Premier League club.
Pena is considered to be one of the best shot-stoppers in the world in his age group, and has a £2.3m release clause in his contract that United can trigger at any time.
The youngster is highly-rated by La Masia coaches and it is likely that Barcelona bosses will offer him a new deal in an attempt to prevent losing more of its young stars to the Premier League.
Hector Bellerin, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique all made moves to England during their times in the Barcelona youth set up, however the latter two later returned to the Camp Nou.
