In January, they are likely to move for Roma midfield dynamo Kevin Strootman, but will make 29-year-old Ronaldo a priority in a year’s time, the newspaper claims club insiders have informed them.
Ronaldo is widely recognised as the best player in the world right now, having won the 2013 Ballon D’or.
Real Madrid are unlikely to want to sell their best player, and although United boss Louis van Gaal recently played down chances of a transfer occurring, it will not stop the Red Devils trying to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
