Manchester United are ready to complete a deal to sign Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller in January, according to reports.
Muller was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, but the German giants were adamant they would not sell the star striker.
According to Fichajes [via Metro], United will make another move for the German World Cup winner in January after being made aware of Bayern’s willingness to business for the right price.
Louis van Gaal previously worked with Muller during his stint as manager of the Bundesliga giants, and the capture of the 26-year-old would come a massive boost to the Red Devils’ title chances.
Muller has netted an impressive 77 goals in 210 Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarian club, and won the Golden Boot at the 2010 World Cup to help Germany to a third-place finish.
He played a vital role in Germany’s 2014 World Cup triumph, scoring five goals to finish as the tournament’s second-highest goal scorer.
