Manchester United’s first season under Louis van Gaal did not go exactly to plan.
Although the 2013 champions improved from seventh to fourth, qualifying for the Champions League in the process, further improvements must be made if the 2015-16 season is to be considered a success.
The new campaign begins on Saturday August 8 and the fixtures, which were published this morning, see United kicking off with a home game against Tottenham Hotspur.
United’s matches against fierce rivals Liverpool will take place in September and January.
