Man United have been keeping a close eye on Schalke 04 winger Julian Draxler and their patience appears to be paying off.
According to the Metro, Juventus – one of the top bidders for Julian Draxler – have pulled out of the race for the Schalke 04 star. Man United have been in hot pursuit of numerous winger targets since losing out on Barcelona’s Pedro, who signed with Chelsea earlier this week.
Arsenal have also reportedly been a big player in the Draxler sweepstakes, reportedly submitting a £21.1 million bid for the German superstar just a few weeks ago.
Julian Draxler made his senior debut with Schalke 04 in 2010 and has been a star winger for the club when healthy. He had a breakout year during the 2012-13 season and set a career high with 10 league goals and 13 total goals. Draxler was also a member of the German national team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
