Victor Valdes has been on social media this afternoon reacting to his Manchester United exile.
The goalkeeper has been banished from the first team after a fall-out with manager Louis van Gaal.
The Dutchman has accused Valdes of refusing to play for United’s reserves – claims that the Spaniard strongly denies – and told him that he has no future at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old had been expected to leave England before the transfer deadline, but his proposed move to Turkish club Besiktas fell through in the final days of the window.
This led to suggestions that Valdes could be reintegrated into the first team, but Van Gaal has indicated this will not be the case be omitting him from United’s Champions League squad.
But the former Barcelona stopper has nevertheless vowed to maintain his professionalism.
No matter what happens. The only way I know is to work hard every day. Thank you all for your support ! #mufc pic.twitter.com/Jj3GRKzPnU
