David de Gea wants out and he wants out now.
After being held out of Man United’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, David de Gea appears more likely than ever to be transferred, thanks in no small part to his aggressive agent.
According to the Metro, De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendes – widely recognized as one of the most influential agents in Spain – has been hard at work trying to speed up negotiations between Manchester United and La Liga giants Real Madrid for an imminent transfer.
AS reported that de Gea is confident that he’ll make his return to La Liga before the end of the summer. De Gea has publicly expressed his desire to go back to Spain in the past and his girlfriend has made some comments recently that have angered folks at Old Trafford.
The PFA Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014-15, De Gea has spent four seasons as the Man United goalkeeper, finishing in the top 5 for clean sheets last year and winning the Man United Players’ Player of the Year award – his second in a row.
