Bale has been linked with a summer exit from the Bernabeu and while the former Tottenham man was harshly criticised by Spanish media and fans alike last season, it seems Real Madrid are desperate to keep hold of the winger.
According to Spanish outlet Cope, Real Madrid have turned down a stagerring £99m bid for the 25-year-old from Premier League giants Manchester United.
United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to bolster his squad ahead of a title challenge next season, but it seems he will have to do it without long-term transfer target Bale.
Bale scored 17 goals in 41 appearances for the club last season but was heavily criticised for his performances as Real Madrid went trophyless, resulting in veteran boss Carlo Ancelotti to be sacked from the La Liga giants.
