United have offered £20m for the Barcelona star, and are confident of sealing a deal for a forward who will add the pace and creativity that Louis van Gaal feels is currently missing from his attack.
Pedro, who has scored 88 goals in 254 La Liga and Champions League games for Barca, is reportedly in talks with the Manchester giants over a four-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.
The World Cup winner is expected to say goodbye to the Camp Nou, where he has spent his entire professional career, when Roma visit for a pre-season friendly on Thursday evening.
